USS KNOX IS COMMISSIONED
BOSTON-AP-The USS Frank Knox one of the navy's new-type 2,200 ton destroyers was commissioned today at the Boston navy yard.
The first of the world's largest destroyers to be commissioned at the yard, the vessel, named for the last secretary of the navy, was launched in September at the Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine.
Mrs. Frank Knox, who sponsored the ship, presented a portrait of her husband to the destroyer.
